OUR STORY

Drift Bar & Kitchen is the creation of known local investors who share a genuine passion for Milton Keynes and a desire to create something special for the community. The group includes Leigh Strathearn and Mo Abdul, alongside experienced local hospitality operators who are collectively behind some of the area’s best-known venues, including Maaya, Blossom Room, Parrilla, Chapel in Stony Stratford, Vertigo VR and several other successful local businesses.

More than anything, Drift is a local project created by local people. When the opportunity arose to take on such an incredible location at Willen Lake, the team saw the potential to create something truly magical in one of the most beautiful settings in Milton Keynes.

The vision is to transform Drift into a genuine year-round lakeside destination – somewhere people can come for breakfast and coffee, lunch with the family, drinks overlooking the water, dinner with friends, live entertainment or simply somewhere to relax after a walk around the lake.

The team is continuing to invest in and develop the venue, with the ambition of creating something Milton Keynes can be proud of: an independent, welcoming and vibrant destination that makes the absolute most of its spectacular lakeside setting.
